Ballast Point Sculpin IPA

If you are a beer fan (I mean a REAL beer fan) and love Pliny the Elder or Younger, you need to try Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. This beer is my favorite local beer. It might be my favorite beer of all time. Maybe. It is brewed

right here in sunny San Diego, the Beer Capitol of the WORLD. This beer was always offered as a limited release, meaning you could only get it at certain times of the year.

It has nice hop bitterness, immediately followed by some fresh pine with mango and orange hints. Hints, I said. Not overly fruity. Do NOT fruit this beer. No orange slices or limes needed.

More good news boys and girls…

Here is the new label and it does not say “Limited Release”! That is right. This glass of pure hoppy gold is now available any time you want it. Beer Advocate gives it an A. You have to give it a try.
